Ok, so I know that they explained everything in the Wiki article, but I wanted to share some screenshots of the characters from the anime so here it is. n_n. (Hey, Just thought you were curious to what they look like.)
Here's Black Jack. The main character and protagonist of the series. He's calm and quiet. He's really friendly, but most people find him a bit creepy and cold hearted because of his looks. He survived an explosion at a nearby beach when he was little. However, his mother did not. Because of Dr. Honma and his mother's death, he decided to become a doctor. And that's exactly what he did. :)!

Here's Pinoko. She was once just a few body parts and insides in her sister's tumor, but Black Jack recreated her as a human girl. (She's actually eighteen years old but has the body of a toddler.) Black Jack named her Pinoko from the Disney Story "Pinocchio".
Here's Sharaku. He's from the three eyed one. He's a crybaby. :P! I'm soo glad he's less annoying on Black Jack. In the three eyed one, He wouldn't shut up! XD! I watched one episode, and that was it. I couldn't stand his crying and complaining! XD! I think he's better on Black Jack. I guess he's less annoying because he's more mature in the Black Jack series. :)! He wears a bandage on his head because he has a third eye on his forehead and if he takes it off, he will have a different personality.
Wato is Sharaku's older sister in the Black Jack anime. She looks after Sharaku and makes sure he does his homework and stay out of trouble.

*Note* By the way, If you were reading Sharaku's description, that's not all true. I am watching the three eyed one series now, but I rarely ever watch it. In fact, I do watch it every once in a while, though it's only when I have nothing else to do. As you can see, I'm not a big fan of that Tezuka anime, but it's alright. (I'm also currently watching Blue Blink as well, and it's not bad.) I first started to watch the three eyed one series back in 2013 of December. I am still watching it today. :)
